Who is Legit?

Legit Moto is a premium motorsport apparel company which was founded by John McKown near Denver Colorado USA. 

The Legit Story

As a championship-winning motorcycle road racer, John became frustrated by the lack of quality fit, materials, and safety with roadracing leather suits. Custom leather roadracing suits with airbag protection can cost north of $2500, which led John to research manufacturers of popular suits overseas. Many prototypes of gloves, boots, and custom racing leathers were created, until the best possible suit for the money was born.

As the sport of motorcycle roadracing has been slowly dying, it didn't make sense to continue making custom leathers as the time it takes and limited market of customers prevented the business from scaling. 

Today, Legit Moto has been reborn to create apparel and safety equipment for the EMoto space. Electric Motorcycles for both street and dirt are definitely the future, and more and more younger people are buying EMotos. This is a natural fit with the lifestyle designs that Legit has already created. Today, Legit is producing jerseys, gloves, shirts, and decal sets. The company was just relaunched in July of 2025 with new products being added to the online store steadily.
